BS CHStas Shärifullá, alias HMOT, est un artiste, chercheur et musicien basé à Bâle qui explore le
son, l’identité et la mémoire à travers le prisme de l’héritage Yılan Bashqort. Né en Sibérie
orientale, Stas s’intéresse aux traditions sonores des cultures d’Asie du Nord et d’Asie
centrale, en se concentrant sur la manière dont le son façonne l’identité et la mémoire.
Entant que musicien informatique autodidacte et quraysı (interprète traditionnel de flûte
Bashqort), Stas pratique un large éventail de médias, y compris la composition libre, les
installations multimédia mixtes, les conférences performatives, les interventions, et plus
encore.
Stas Shärifullá, aka HMOT, is a Basel-based artist, researcher, and musician exploring
sound, identity, and memory through the lens of Yılan Bashqort heritage. Born in East
Siberia, Stas engages with aural traditions of North and Central Asian cultures, focusing on
how sound shapes identity and memory.
As an autodidact computer musician and quraysı (traditional Bashqort flute performer), Stas practices in a wide range of media, including freeform composition, mixed-media installations, performative lectures, interventions, and more.
