BRAUN

Braun TI CH

BRAUN is a Swiss-Estonian duo performing I.C.M., founded in 2015.
Musical language and sound quality are sourced in contemporary electronic club genres, but are generated and performed utterly in the moment on acoustic and digital instruments.
BRAUN seeks the intersection between man-made and machine-made.
BRAUN fathoms the correlation of environment and performance.

Up to the present, BRAUN has dedicated itself foremost to video: it devises its own original format based on the closest possible compliance of Location, Time, Performance and Infrastructure. BRAUN calls it «Stealth-Video» or «Guerrilla-Shooting», expressed through close collaboration with Nenieritmiche Audiovideoatelier in works such as «Griestep», 2016 (youtu.be/K7Rkjvk7ICs) or «Villagio», 2017 (youtu.be/Ewye4lk79Zg). Taking notice of the format, Swiss National Television plans a joint extension of BRAUN’s video portfolio.
At present, BRAUN tackles a musical rendition of the engraved work «Quatre Histoires de Blanc et Noir» by Frantisek Kupka (Paris, 1926), which it performs live, occasionally with VJ, and is preparing for audio publication in autumn 2018.
